He is the Artist who was not swayed by fashions of the day
but had his own independent views on art
and depicted reality sincerely
and in a true-to-life manner.

Looking at his landscapes,
the viewer senses the spiritual purity
and clarity of the Artist’s vision of the natural scene.
The Artist did not accentuate the color
but brought out the idea of the uniqueness.

 

 

 

Nikolay Sergeev was born in the village of Kryukovo,
Moscow region on Aug.4, 1908.
From 1924 he lived and worked in Moscow.

1928-1931 studied art at association of artists.

1933 - 1936  Moscow Polygraph Institute.

1936 - 1942 Moscow Art Institute named after V. Surikov,
department of painting.

The Artist held personal exhibitions;
his works are in museums and collections all over the world.
He was a member of the Artist’s Union of the USSR.
